This Privacy Policy describes how Wingbits ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use Flight Assistants ("the Service"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data responsibly.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Email address
  • Name (if provided through OAuth)
  • Profile information from connected OAuth providers (Google, LinkedIn, Slack)

Assistant Configuration

When you create assistants, we store:

  • Assistant names and descriptions
  • Query configurations (locations, filters, schedules)
  • Notification preferences and destination configurations

Third-Party Integrations

When you connect third-party services (Slack, Google Sheets, email), we store the necessary authentication tokens to send notifications on your behalf. We do not access more data than necessary to provide the Service.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and maintain the Service
  • Execute your assistant configurations and deliver notifications
  • Authenticate your access to the Service
  • Communicate with you about the Service
  • Improve and develop the Service

4. Google User Data

Data Accessed

When you sign in with Google, we access the following data through Google OAuth:

  • Email address
  • Name and profile picture (basic profile information)

Data Usage

Google user data is used to authenticate your identity, create and manage your account, and improve and operate the Service. We do not use your Google data for advertising or sell it to third parties.

Data Sharing

We do not share your Google user data with third parties, except as required to operate the Service (e.g., our authentication provider, Supabase, which processes login credentials on our behalf under strict data processing agreements). We do not sell or transfer Google user data for purposes unrelated to providing the Service.

Data Storage & Protection

Google user data (email, name) is stored in our secure database, encrypted at rest and in transit. Access is restricted to authorized systems and personnel. We follow industry-standard security practices to prevent unauthorized access.

Data Retention & Deletion

Google user data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated Google user data at any time by contacting privacy@wingbits.com. Upon verified request, your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

5. Aviation Data

The aviation data provided through the Service is derived from publicly available ADS-B transmissions collected by the Wingbits network. This data includes aircraft positions, callsigns, altitudes, and other publicly broadcast information. We do not collect or store personally identifiable information about aircraft passengers or crew.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

  • Third-party service providers that help us operate the Service (hosting, analytics)
  • Third-party integrations you explicitly connect (Slack, Google, etc.)
  • Law enforcement when required by law

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, secure authentication, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account information as long as your account is active. Assistant run history and logs are retained for a limited period to help you monitor assistant performance. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Export your data
  • Disconnect third-party integrations at any time

10. Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and authentication state. We may use analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
